Procurement Strategy
In accordance to our business philosophy, our purchasing strategy revolves around one priority, our customers. We are very selective in choosing our vendors who must conform to our principles of customer service.
Quality and delivery are the two quintessential factors that we used to judge all our suppliers.
We work with a very limited number of supplier, who we built longstanding relationships over the years with.
Logistics-Freight Line
We are extremely excited about the latest addition to our growing family: our Logistics-Freight Line. As TGE Commodities always strives for strategic and robust growth, we found that the logistics industry was the perfect fit for injecting our business model as the model starts and ends at the same point: our customers.
Better stated: we serve our customers by making the impossible possible.
One of the biggest challenges of doing business in Sudan is uncertainty, but our agility through that uncertainty created our success. Our operations within the physical trade community illuminated what was right and wrong within the Logistics Industry (and what opportunities could be beneficial). So, we set out to offer services unattainable in the current market.
Our model already focused on efficiency, so through uncertainty or troublesome times, our fleet has kept an average of 8 trips as compared to the industry average of 6. Using technology and specialized hiring processes, we incentivized our pay and created an environment focused on making the most of what we have. This has allowed TGE Commodities to provide its clients with above average service at industry level prices.
We implement full checkups after each trip for every truck and ensure they undergo monthly routine maintenance. Therefore, TGE Commodities has minimal truck downtime. From top to bottom our most valued service is cargos’ safety, and we will continue to provide efficient service with a smile.
Processing Facilities
To ensure our supply chain runs as smoothly as possible, we try as much as possible to keep operations in-house, limiting the usage of outsourcing. As of such, we have built processing units all across the country to ensure we oversee our QC from farm to freight. Moreover, we are one of the few suppliers in the region to operate its own laboratory to test all our products before shipment to ensure that there are no problems that may arise in that regard.
